Preparation Guide
Pre-Tan Prep.
Your tan can only look as good as the canvas underneath it. We can create beautiful color, but your prep determines how smooth, even, and long-lasting that color will be.

Aftercare
Clean, smooth, product-free skin is where it starts.
Step by Step
Your prep timeline
Exfoliate
Use a washcloth with Cetaphil or CeraVe only. No oily scrubs, no bar soap, no Dove or similar.
Shave
Use a razor with minimal moisture strips. No shaving cream.
Arrive Lotion-Free
Come with no lotion on your skin. Makeup and deodorant can be removed at your appointment.
Dress for After
Wear long, loose, dark clothing post-appointment. Flip-flops or Uggs are great — no tennis shoes. No leggings, denim, or tight clothing while your tan develops.
Stay Dry
No sweating or getting wet until after your first bronzer rinse.
Skip Exfoliating Skincare
Before and after your tan, avoid retinols, glycolic, AHA, BHA, and any other anti-acne or anti-aging products. They can cause your spray tan to peel.
